

Theresa Alma Marinelli was born on January 22, 1928, to Rose (nee Guerriero) and Salvatore (Sam) Marinelli in Youngstown, Ohio. Theresa was soon joined by brother Donald and sister Rosemary. An A student, Theresa graduated from South High School in 1946 and entered the workforce as a secretary at Appliance Wholesalers. She met her husband, Carmen Renaldy, Jr., on a blind date. Soon after, Carmen enlisted in the army. When he returned 18 months later, they reunited and married in 1951. Their daughter Jeanne was born in 1956 and son Carmen III, in 1958. The family moved to Chesterland, Ohio, in 1962 when Carmen was hired to be the chorale director at West Geauga High School. Theresa re-entered the workforce around 1964, first working at West Geauga Junior High as a secretary. She moved back into the world of business in the late 1960s and spent the remainder of her career as office manager at Scott-Baker Company until she retired at the age of 62. Carmen and Theresa moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, in 1992, where they lived until Carmen’s death in May, 2023. Theresa spent the last months of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, near her son Carmen. Theresa was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She loved to play bridge, and she had a very green thumb. Theresa was a gracious hostess, and she lit up every room she entered. Theresa died in hospice from complications of a series of falls. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Busemeyer (Jack) of Cincinnati, Ohio; son Carmen (Del) Renaldy, grandson Andy, and great-grandson Kiyo of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by sister Rosemary Keffler of Youngstown, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
