Gartland, Arthur Valentine, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church after 94 years with us on Tues. Dec. 7, 2010. The beloved husband of the late Virginia Gartland and the late Dorothy M. Gartland; loving father of Mary A. (Edward) Scanlon, Kevin M. (Barbara), John P, Michael J. and the late Mark (Ann) Gartland; loving grandfather of Jeff (Meena), Scott (Kristen) and Maura K. Gartland, Sarah E. and Daniel J. Scanlon, Katie B. (Tom) Murphy and the late Sean P. and Andrew M. Gartland; Dear great grandfather of 8, uncle, great uncle and friend.

Arthur was a caring parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church of Normandy and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic (Good Sheperd) Church. He retired from the Army and served in WWII.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the St. Vincent’s DePaul Society or a charity of ones choice.
