Charles "Dutch" Guidici, Sr., passed peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of 82.

Dutch was the beloved husband of the late Becky Guidici (nee' Dovet) for 44 years; dear father of Pam (Jeff) Struckhoff and Charles "little Dutch" (Jen) Guidici; loving Papa of Zachary, Jackie, Jeffrey, Trevor, Libby, Kama, and Drew; dear brother of the late Antonia (Joseph) Piskulic; preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary "Toddy" (nee Marnati) Guidici; loving uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and a friend to many.

Dutch proudly served his country in the United States Army and appreciated the opportunity it afforded him to see the world. Dutch was a St. Louis City Fireman for 30 years. He was very active in scouting, hunting, and fishing, and loved to go camping with his entire family. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and always enjoyed having to explain the nickname, "Dutch". He was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church for his entire life.

Dutch was such a sweetheart! He always had a smile and friendly word. As my neighbor. He met my grandchildren who are all so saddened by his passing. My favorite memories of Dutch is patrolling the neighborhood in his Cadillac, making sure all was well on TheHill. The 2nd memory was a Dutch riding his scooter throughout the Hill wearing his wonderful black hat with a long red plume gracing it’s side. RIP Dutch! We’ll be seeing you very soon. Thank you for being such a great person!

I have known Dutch since he was 18. We had a lot of fun together. We belonged to a club called the 12 apostles??!! There were 4 left and now 3. We would meet once a month for lunch mostly at Milo's on the Hill for lunch. Dutch was always late and he always had to see the menu. The same one he had seen at least 50 times. He would study for an hour it seemed and then order pizza. We loved to fish and once a year we would go to Canada. 6 of us. You haven't lived until you spent 22 hours in a van with Dutch. His last 2 weeks in the hospital I talked to him ever day, sometimes 2x. All he wanted to do was go home. Well, now he is home with Becky. We will Miss you, Love Jim.

Dutch and I were both members of troop 212. A finer man you will not find. I will miss his smile, his friendship and his company. He is now in good company and I will remember him by telling the stories of our experiences in the troop.

I will never forget the weekend barbecues. The ladies cooking ravioli and Uncle Dutch master of the grill. He made it look easy. My favorite is the story of how a cow dented his Bonneville. He was my father's best friend. I will miss him dearly.

Always greeted me with his signature smile. Loved seeing him "tooling" around the grocery store in his chair.

I would occasionally see him as the driver of the fire engine. Wherever I saw him he always had a smile for you. RIP Ditch
