Every Halloween I always looked forward to visiting the Patterson home, even after I grew into adulthood. As an adult, I often would STILL dress up and make a stop at the house on Columbia Avenue between 59th Street and Dalton adjacent to the alley. I could always count on a smile and some home baked chocolate chip cookies from Mrs. Patterson (and even a few Busch Bavarian Beers when Mr. Patterson was still alive). And of course, let's not forget the jokes..."Me and my brother-in-law are making bumper stickers to prove that we're rooting for the Cardinals; they say I'm For The Birds!"

Mrs. Patterson, even after my wife and I moved to California, I often thought of you, especially around Halloween time. Thank you for all the years of kindness, love, and hospitality that you and your entire family have given me and my family over the years.

As you make your entrance into Heaven, know that you meant a lot to us here throughout the years, and tell Mr. Patterson hello.

We Love You!

Condolences from Ted & Megan Burke
