John H. Newsom of St. Louis, passed away September 2. Loving husband to Betty Newsom and the late Lucille Newsom; dear father to Gail Carnahan and John (Ruth) Newsom Jr.; loving grandfather to Chris (Laura) Newsom, Heather Newsom, and Kimberly (Trevor) Rappold; beloved great grandfather to Brooke and Tyler. Mr. Newsom was an Army veteran of WWII, a member of American Legion Post 15, and owned and operated Meadows Machine Shop for over 60 years. Funeral Services will be 9:30 A.M. Thursday, September 8, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. Interment in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, with full military honors. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to, Autism Speaks.
