Joe Barbata, 93, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Aug 22, 2019.

Joe graduated CBC high school, was a fireman and drove for the chief and a veteran of the Army. Later, Joe went back to school and became a CRNA. Joe and his wife Ova Jean Beatty Barbata lived in Ballwin with his 3 children, Jeanny, Janie and Joey. Joe and his wife worked together at St. Joseph's hospital in Kirwood, Joe in the OR and Jean, Vice President in Charge of Nursing. Joe was the Past President of the Professional Business Men's Club of the Hill, loved golf, attended his kids activities and sporting events. Joe loved entertaining friends at their home and truly enjoyed life to its fullest. Joe and Jean retired to Port Charlotte Florida. Joe was an amazing father, a loving husband and an amazing friend. He had a contagious smile and was loved by all. He cared for people deeply and always had a kind word to say about everyone. He will be missed.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Paul and Millie Barbata, his wife Ova Jean Beatty Barbata.

He is survived by his daughters Jeanny Barbata (Dave Upchurch), Janie Barbata Duke ( Steve Duke) and his son Joe Barbata.
