I spent a lot of time with Karen during our high school years. She has a fantastic sense of humor and always found the good in everyone. She was a loyal, honest, and dear friend. I am very sad to admit that I lost touch with her after high school but have thought of her throughout my life whenever I would recall my high school days.
I am so very sorry to learn of your loss. I have no doubt that she is up in heaven making the Big Guy chuckle. She had an amazing way to make even the darkest times a little lighter with her humor.
God Bless and Rest in Peace, Karen.

Karen was my sister in-law. She would always bring energy and laughter when she came to visit. Karen was a very generous, loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by our family.

Karen was my dear friend during those turbulent years of teenage hood. She taught me about love and faith. We laughed together and spent many hours just walking through the streets of Clayton and talking. Many times I have come back to Clayton and shown my husband my old neighborhood and I would always point out Karen's beautiful home, a place where Karen and I spent many happy times. She was a kind friend, a delightful friend. And I will always remember the joy she brought to my life. Solveig Preus Fiene

Karen and I were good friends in middle school and high school. She was always kind and cordial to everyone. And she could make me laugh!

I don't remember what we did when we were behaving ourselves, I guess mostly hanging out in Karen's room. But I do remember, us (well, me with Karen along) stealing my parent's Gremlin in the middle of the night to go out joy riding at the ages of 15. It was great good fun, until the time we pulled up and my Mother was waiting for us on the front porch.

Rest in Peace Karen

I have had the privilege of knowing Karen and her husband Steve for many years. I fondly remember the compassion they showed me when my husband passed away three years ago. Karen always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. She will be missed by many.
