Mary Ann was one who led from behind. Always giving credit to others for a job well done. She made sure the Classified Employees of the Affton School District were respected and rewarded for their dedication. Every employee was a vital part of the chain, from the custodian to the Superintendent. Mary Ann showed us by example it was our duty to do our best for the students of The Affton School District and make the taxpayers proud.

MaryAnn was a kind, careing, loving person, who loved her family, friends, and co-workers.
MaryAnn will be dearly missed by everyone who's lives she has touched in one way or another.

I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Mary Ann for many years. We worked on many committees throughout our years together at Affton School District. Even though we didn't work in the same building we became friends. Mary Ann was a true professional and at the same time a very loyal, dedicated, caring, and compassionate lady. She helped me through some difficult times for which I will be ever grateful to her.

At the beginning of each school year, Mary Ann always gave each secretary a plant. I still have one of those and think of her each time I look at it.

The wonderful memories of Mary Ann will live in my heart forever.

My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

Mrs. Schiller was the school secretary when I started school many, many years ago at Mesnier Elementary. While a lot of us youngsters were intimidated by the principal (who was actually very kind...) we all knew that Mrs. Schiller was pretty, friendly and gentle. I see that she continued to serve Affton schools well beyond my years there. How many students' lives she must have touched in a similar positive manner. My condolences to her family.

As the current superintendent of the Affton School District, I want to extend my condolences to Mary Ann's family and friends. I joined the district in 2012 so unfortunately I never had the pleasure of working with Mary Ann however, I am well aware of her exceptional service and contributions to Affton. I would like for her and everyone else to know that each day we are working hard to continue to make the Affton School District a place that would make her proud. I take great pride in having my office located in the building that was named in her honor. Again, my deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends.

Mary Ann was one of the first people that I met when I began my teaching career in Affton in 1972 and waa there to wish me well as I retired in 2005. You could always rely upon Mary Ann to be professional, compassionate and kind. She was a constant support in the district as we moved through administrators over the years. Memories of Mary Ann always bring a smile.

I had the pleasure of working with Mary Ann in the Affton School District for many years. I considered her the only person in the district that truly knew what was going on at all times. She basically ran the district with grace, humor and kindness. She got me out a a few jams in my career which we laughed about frequently. She was and will continue to be a part of my life threw those memories of smiles and support that she always showed me and others. May our Lord watch over her loved ones as they morn the loss of this amazing woman.

I had the pleasure to work with her at the Affton Administration through the COE program in 1973. Lovely, professional woman that I had the benefit of working for early in my career. I am sure she will be a loss to all of her friends and family. She will always have a special place in my 💓.
