We loved Peter in San Antonio, Christi's elegant, witty father.
He and Thelma brought such delight to our parties! Those two really knew how to share their fun.

When he lost his precious wife, we wanted Peter to move to Texas but his heart and memories were forever in St. Louis. I am so blessed to have had Christi in my life for over two decades here in South Texas where she is a well known and highly respected member of the education community. With deepest sympathy and much love,
Billie Bailey

To the Wong Family......This is a memory of Pete 83 years ago
and never forgotten by me. We played "B" team football
together, during a game I went for a tackle and the runners
knee hit me on the head and knocked me out, (we were still
wearing leather helmets at that time"). After the game I was
still very groggy, Pete was the only one to notice or to care.
He lived far South I lived North in Pine Lawn. He took me by the arm and steadied me. It was two buses and a 7 block walk to
my house. That was kindness, that was Pete as I knew him.
(note.. I did have a concussion and in the Hospital that evening).

To Annette and Christina : So sorry for your loss, wish I could be there with you in your time of grief. Pete was a good guy and a dear friend and he will be missed dearly. I’ve known Pete for many years. I have many fond memories dancing at the Chase Park plaza, and him singing . My prayers are with you.

I knew Pete through the Jefferson Barracks VA gym..... I was a volunteer @ the gym, just one morning a week, Tuesdays. I do not know how many days he came to the gym, but he was there EVERY Tuesday morning, after attending Mass & visiting the gravesite of his wife & daughter (sometimes he visited them after the gym). A couple of years, I met him @ their gravesite, I think it was on September 27 each year....(We had drinks with Thelma & their daughter).

A few years ago, when we were both young enough to still play tennis, we played tennis together.

My wife Carol & I will be in attendance tomorrow for the visitation, Mass, & burial,
