Ruth was known by all as a caring and compassionate pillar of strength and support. She was always available to anyone in need of a conversation, a hug, or simply space shared in quiet. The comment I have heard most in the past few days is, I will miss her ever-present smile. We will all miss her gentle nature and guidance.
Ruth had recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. We now know that many of her symptoms for the past few years were not traditionally associated with Parkinson’s Disease. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation in Ruth’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at https://www.michaeljfox.org/donate to further research early detection of this disease. Choose “Donate in Tribute”, make your donation in memory of Ruth Ann Brantley. At the bottom you can check the send an e-card option to notify the family of your donation.
