Thomas K. Casey was a 25-year veteran of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He worked as a detective in the Burglary and Robbery sections and was promoted to Sergeant while in the Bomb & Arson Unit. Tom was involved in several high profile cases and was honored with numerous department awards including Meritorious Award for Valor and 13 Chiefs Letters of Commendation for Performance in the Line of Duty.
He is survived by seven children, fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Casey (nee Crader). After her death, he shared his life experiences and exuberant personality with the new friends he made while living at Delmar Gardens Retirement Community.
