Vincent Scozzari

Passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the age of 95. Beloved husband Josephine Scozzari (nee Vivirito). Dear father of Janet Scozzari, Linda (Jim) Fujarski, Mike (Bess) Scozzari and Paul Scozzari; loving grandfather of Justin (Allie) Fujarski, Stacy Fujarski and Sophia Scozzari; soon to be great-grandfather; brother of the late Clara Scozzari; son-in-law of the late Jack and Josephine Vivirito (nee Catanzaro), uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Born in St. Louis to the late Ignazio and Rose Scozzari (nee LoPresto), both of which were born in Casteltermini, Sicily, Italy.

Vincent “Zoro” was raised on Elizabeth Ave. on the Hill, attended Shaw School and was a member of Gloom Chasers Club on the Hill as a young man. He met the love of his life, Josephine Vivirito on a blind date in their early 20’s introduced by best friends Joe and Mae Cunetto. They married on June 14, 1952. He and his wife have enjoyed lifelong friendships, becoming like family with the Cunetto, Rumbolo, Castellano and Buttice families.

He was a foreman for over 50 years at Everready Appliance Manufacturing Company, always a hard worker, going above and beyond to provide for his family. A respectful, kind and loving man to all that he met, a great sense of humor and content in all circumstances.

Vincent was a very proud man of his Italian Heritage, enjoying his passions like dancing, Italian food and spending time with his family and friends.

He had a strong faith, a blessed life and lived it to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by his family SERVICE: Funeral Mass Friday, December 6th 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5130 Wilson Ave. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, December 5th 4:00 pm 8:00 pm at Calcaterra Funeral Home, 5140 Daggett Ave.

If desired, donations in Vincent’s name may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Biography

Vincent Scozzari passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the age of 95.

Beloved husband Josephine Scozzari (nee Vivirito).
Dear father of Janet Scozzari, Linda (Jim) Fujarski, Mike (Bess) Scozzari and Paul Scozzari; loving grandfather of Justin (Allie) Fujarski, Stacy Fujarski and Sophia Scozzari; soon to be great-grandfather; brother of the late Clara Scozzari; son-in-law of the late Jack and Josephine Vivirito (nee Catanzaro), uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
