Born December 7, 1934 in St. Louis, Ginny was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose smile lit up every room. She was warm and generous to everyone she met. A dedicated volunteer, teacher, administrator and counselor, she greeted all with open arms and a seat at her dinner table. A fabulous cook, Ginny loved to entertain and host dinner gatherings. No crowd was too big and everyone was welcome. She loved all sports, particularly golf which she played up until her death. She will be remembered most for her kindness and unwavering service to all those in need.
A proud graduate of Visitation Academy, Ginny earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Webster University. She was a pioneer in alcohol and substance abuse, establishing one of the first employee assistance programs for the U.S. Postal Service in St. Louis. She was Dean of Students for Lindenwood College in St. Charles and Marketing Director for St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights. Later, she served on the TWA Flight 800 Crisis Response team, where she met her husband Alfonso. Together, they divided their time between the Amalfi Coast in Italy and Clearwater. In Italy, the two traveled the world together and served as European tour guides to friends and family. In Florida, Ginny was a long-time substitute teacher at Clearwater Central Catholic High School. For more than 15 years, she provided meals and social services to the homeless at the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen every Sunday morning.
Ginny is survived by her two brothers, John Brennan and Robert Brennan (Margaret); her four sons Michael Grady, Dr. Daniel Grady (Dr. Joseph Fidelibus), Thomas Grady (Margaret) and Ted Grady (Dr. Ross Slotten); as well as four grandchildren (Maddix, Patrick and Auggie Grady and Nico Fidelibus-Grady); and many nieces and nephews.
