DeGeare, Wayne R., 78, entered into rest on March 8, 2011 at his home. He was an Air Force Veteran, a former firefighter and a longtime HVAC mechanic. Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Darlene (Diaz) DeGeare, his parents Edward and Annie DeGeare, a brother Edward DeGeare and two sisters, Maxine Bone and Marie Frank.
Wayne is survived by his son, Vincent DeGeare, MD (Doreen), grandsons Eric and David DeGeare, his mother-in-law Laverne (Schulz) Diaz and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road (63125) on Friday, April 8. Visitation will be from 12 pm until time of the memorial service at 2 pm. Internment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110-9968.
