He worked as a carpenter for the MacDonald Construction Co. of St. Louis. He was a US Navy disabled Korean War veteran and retrained as a barber, owning and operating Wayne’s Barber shop in Brentwood, Missouri for many years. He moved to Florida where he worked constructing and managing high-rise condominiums in Boca Raton.
He is survived by a wife of 33 years Grace Level (nee Healey) and four children -Marie, Dan, Tom and Chris; 9 grandchildren – Melanie, Kate, Kimberly, Tim, Nicole, Michelle, Madeleine, Oliver and Sophia; and 6 great-grandchildren –Bennett, Emerson, John, Nathan, Olivia, and Titus. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, sisters Dorothy, Juanita, Yvonne, Eileen, and brother Larry.
Mr. Level chose to be cremated. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 am-10:30 am Friday, August
17, 2018 at Hoffmeister South Chapel on Lemay Ferry Road. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 with
final interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
