ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Annette Girouard Castille, age 58, at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Rusty P. Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery.

Visitation will take place at Evangeline Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday from 8:00 am until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Castille passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in New Iberia surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 3, 1960 to Ronald Girouard and the late Anna Lee Blanchard Girouard, Annette was one of six children. She was a devoted wife, mother, and step-mother who put everything into raising her family. That was number one to her. Annette also loved spoiling the fur babies, baking and cooking, and reading. She will be deeply and truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Castille, Sr.; daughters, Traci Lynn Castille of Breaux Bridge and Jennifer Renee Castille of New Iberia; step-sons, Donald Castille, Jr. of Henderson and John Castille of Breaux Bridge; father, Ronald Girouard; brother, Ronald Girouard, Jr. and wife Laurie of Sorrento, LA; sisters, Janet Leonard and husband Michael of Pea Ridge, AR, Melissa Girouard of Carencro, Arlene Guilbeaux and husband Michael, Sr. of Breaux Bridge, and Darlene Peterson and husband Kevin of Breaux Bridge; and step-grandson, Bailey Castille.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Lee Blanchard Girouard; paternal grandparents, Wilfred and Alice Girouard; and maternal grandparents, Aldofane and Ambrose Blanchard.

Pallbearers will be Donald Castille, Jr., John Castille, Johnny Ohlemacher, Steve Royer, Mickey Guilbeaux, and Toby Richard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Castille, Kevin Peterson, and Mike Leonard.

Had the pleasure of working with Annette aka Tootie from 2008 til 2016. We were/are her DayTime Family #JCPenney 2961! She always baked goodies for the store but some of us ESPECIALLY me got extra for my kids. I still have a few oreoballs she vacuum packed for me on my son's last trip to Louisiana!!! I will eat them slow for they are the last ones. I love you Tootie! And loved that you loved me! Jen Traci Johnny Grams gonna be with yall in your hearts always! Condolences to the family!

Annette was a kind and gentle person. Loved to laugh & cut up. When we were younger I always enjoyed when all the cousins were at Mawmaw & Pawpaw's house in Broussard for a family meal. That's me in the back in the white shirt. We love you & will miss you.
