John Roy Hebert Sr.

St. Martinville – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. John Hebert, Sr., age 73, at 10:30 am Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Rusty Richard officiating. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday and visitation will continue until service time.

A native of Delcambre and a resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Hebert passed away at 9:21 pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Mr. Hebert was a member of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, playing Pokeno and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Hebert is survived by his two sons, Gabriel Hebert of St. Martinville, Terry Hebert of St. Martinville; daughter, Irene Toucheck and husband Russell; brothers, Jim, John, Haywood; sisters, Claradean, Shirley, Barbara, Annalee, Gloria and grandchildren, Russel Toucheck, III and wife LeeAlice, Ian Gaspard, Kyle Toucheck, Kayla Toucheck and Ski Toucheck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Theriot; parents, Norbert Hebert and Rita Bodin Romero; son, John Roy Hebert, Jr. and brother, Eufis Hebert.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hebert, Gabriel Hebert, Randall Breaux, Percy Guidry, Martin Theriot, Marcel Theriot, Brooks Romero and Ricky Mire.

Honorary pallbearers will be Russell J. Toucheck, III and Ian Gaspard.
