Laura Freeman Lallande

ST. MARTINVILLE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Laura Lallande, the former Laura Freeman, age 94, at 12:00 pm Monday, June 10, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Rusty Richard officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday and remain open until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Lallande passed away at 8:35 am on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Martin Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Willis of St. Martinville and Claudette Lallande of New Iberia; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Lallande; parents, Clerphoe and Clemance Freeman; son, Denis Lallande; daughter, Betsy Lallande; seven brothers; and five sisters.

Pallbearers will be Josh Sopko, Blake Bonin, Chaz Willis, Dominique Camacho, Derek Champagne, Gene Champagne, Steve Bourque and Shay Bourque. Angelo Ledet will serve as honorary pallbearer.
