Anita G. Cohen of Marblehead, MA entered into rest on December 18, 2018 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Myron J. Cohen. Devoted mother of Neal Cohen and wife, Lisa and Melissa Dreyer and husband, Evan. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Cohen, David Cohen, Rebecca Dreyer, Samantha Dreyer & Justin Dreyer. The loving sister of Ruth Friedman and the late Eleanor Carver. Dear daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Gilberg.
She grew up in Mt. Vernon, NY, graduated from Boston University, and raised her family in Marblehead. She was a City of Salem School Teacher and later an office manager at Cohen and Cohen, P.C. She was lifetime member of Temple Ahabat Shalom Sisterhood. She loved her family, her friends, and her students.
A Funeral Service for Anita will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10am in the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St. Salem, MA 01970 with interment to follow in Pride of Lynn Cemetery, Lake Shore Dr. Lynn.
Shiva will be held at her late residence on Thursday December 20th following the funeral from 1-4pm and 6 to 8pm as well as on Friday December 21st from 1pm to sunset.
