Arlene Swartz Padulsky, a North Shore native, passed away August 6, 2023, after a brief illness. Born June 13, 1940, to Mae and Bibi Swartz, Arlene grew up in Revere, and graduated from Revere High in 1958. She went on to Boston University for College, and married her beloved husband Freddie in 1962, he predeceased her in 2004. The couple moved to Peabody in 1967 where they raised their two children, Mark and Amy. Arlene loved and was loved by her many friends. Her calendar was always full of card games, book group meetings, outings to shows and movies, winter visits to Delray Beach, and vacations with her family. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren, visiting them in college, taking them out for meals and even guest-appearing in their TikToks. Arlene could always be relied on to send a card for her friends’ and family’s birthdays, anniversaries, and other life events.
She is survived by her children, Mark Padulsky of Methuen and Amy McIntire of Swampscott, her grandchildren, Jake and Matthew McIntire and Taylor Padulsky her younger brother Chuck Swartz, sister-in-law Linda Swartz and niece Anna Swartz.
A funeral service for Arlene will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Temple Emanu-El, 393 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead, MA 01945 with interment at Beth Shalom Cemetery, 16 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA 01923.
Shiva will be held following the service at the Home of Amy McIntire until 8:00PM and continuing on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and continuing 6:00PM to 8:00PM
