

SWAMPSCOTT - Barry “Coach” Alden Tevrow Sr., age 66 of Swampscott, died September 12th after a lengthy illness. He passed away with his wife Diana and his children by his side. Barry was an avid car salesman on the north shore. He was a member of the coaching staff for many years for the Swampscott Big Blue and the North shore Generals. He was a graduate of Marblehead High School and received his master’s degree from U-Mass Amherst. He is the son of the late Harry and Anita Tevrow.
He was a loving and devoted father to his eight children: Stephanie Tevrow and fiancé Jim Spinale, Danyell Tevrow and fiancé Lee Christiansen, Tiffany Rowe and husband Hobie Rowe, Laura Tevrow and fiancé James Previer, Michelle Tevrow and her fiancé Kenneth Vasquez, Jacqueline Sheehan and husband Michael Sheehan, Heather Tevrow, Barry Tevrow Jr, his two adorable grandchildren Ashley Christiansen and Jim Spinale and his sister, Beth Andler and her husband Marc, and her family, Samantha, Brittani and Samuel.
Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 12 Noon. Interment at Swampscott Cemetery.
