

PEABODY - Mrs. Brenda C. (Pearlswig) Fierston, age 75, entered into rest on Friday, March 5, 2015 at her late residence. Mr. Stanley A. Fierston, age 79, entered into rest March 16, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Both were residents of Peabody, and formerly of Marblehead, MA.
Brenda was born in Stoneham and was the daughter of the late Myrton and Mildred (Solberg) Pearlswig.
Stanley was born in Boston and was the son of the late Nathan and Mollie (Cohen) Fierston.
Mr. Fierston's work as an electrical engineer with Sylvania took them to Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands where they lived for four years in the 1960s and 1970s. Mr. Fierston's ham radio handle, KX6FJ, was rare and he collected over 100 unique QSL cards from around the world. Mrs. Fierston was an athlete who loved softball and tennis. For several years in the 1970s, she ran the girls' softball league in Marblehead. Mrs. Fierston was also a registered nurse who took devoted care of her husband for many years.
Brenda and Stanley are survived by their devoted daughters, Suzanne Fierston and her husband Benjamin Berman of Montgomery Village, MD and Michelle Fierston and her husband Christopher Stetson of Oakland, CA; three cherished grandchildren, Skyler and Mira Stetson and Rose Berman. Brenda was the sister of Linda Price of Newton, Laura Soto of San Francisco, CA and Susan Nyhan of Brookline. Stanley was the brother of Dave Fierston of Avon, CT. Brenda and Stanley are also survived by their devoted friends Marcia and Marty Griesdorf and Moe Godwin Williams. Brenda and Stanley were aunt and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services at B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Rt. 128, PEABODY on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Celebrations of their Lives will follow at Brooksby Village Macintosh Building, 300 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody at 1 PM.
