Clinton Israel, of Marblehead, entered into rest on January 31, 2022, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Carol (Fuld), with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Devoted father of Lawrence Israel, and Sharon (Andrew) Rodger. Cherished grandfather of Alix Israel, Sasha Israel and Katie Rodger. Son of Sylvia and Jacob Israel (deceased), brother of Manny (deceased). Clint is survived by his sister-in-law Phyllis Fuld, many nieces and nephews, and a caring circle of friends who will miss him dearly.
Born in Boston and raised in Brookline, Clint proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargent, and for many years, he served as the Korean War representative during commemorative ceremonies in Marblehead, including laying the wreath at Waterside Cemetery on Memorial Day and honoring veterans at Abbot Hall on Veterans Day. He was a graduate of Mass College of Pharmacy.
Clint and Carol raised their family in Marblehead since 1968. He had a long career in pharmacy beginning with Pfizer, to owning a pharmacy in the days when there were still soda fountains. Clint enjoyed the company of family and friends and was always found with his loving wife by his side sharing many outings and dinners around town, beach days, and attending his granddaughters’ recitals, plays, graduations and sporting activities. Clint was an avid sports fan following Boston’s greatest teams for decades. Nothing made him happier than being with his family on the sand in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, the mountains in Vermont, or in Marblehead for our Sunday dinners.
