SHAGALOVA, Diana of Salem, entered into rest on March 18, 2017 at the age of 75. Born in Russia to the late Yakov Naroditsky and Yelena Belostoskaya, Diana received a PhD in Chemical Engineering and dedicated many years of her life to developing new color photosensitive materials. She was an accomplished table tennis player in her younger years. Diana had a love of music, especially classical genre. She was a great mother and a loving grandmother. Diana is survived by her loving husband Yakov Shagalov. Devoted mother of Elena and Max Drabkin of Marblehead and Alexander Shagalov of Moscow, Russia. Loving sister of Tatyana Chertok of Salem. Cherished grandmother of Liz and Daniel Drabkin. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10AM. Interment will be held at Ahavat Achim Anshe Sfard Cemetery in Lynn, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute. .
