

Donna Woloshen, 68, of Weston passed away peacefully at her home on September 27 surrounded by family after a long and courageous struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She was the beloved wife for over 40 years of Daniel Woloshen and devoted mother to Judy Woloshen of New York City. She is also survived by her niece, Lisa Cohen of Watertown, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Deborah and Robert Cohen of Worcester. She leaves many cousins in Edgartown, MA where her family originated. She is predeceased by her parents Donald MacPhee and her mother Jean Nevin MacPhee. Donna was raise in Springfield and spent her summers on Martha's Vineyard as a child. She was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and received a Master’s degree in speech pathology from Boston University. She practiced her profession for many years, first as the head of the speech department in East Bridgewater and later for the Olney Maryland school system in Maryland, Easter Seal and then in private practice in Chicago. She specialized in treating young children with cleft palates and elderly stroke victims. Most remembered will be her kindness to everyone, her devotion to family and friends and her timeless beauty. Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 12 noon. Burial immediately following at Maple Hill Cemetery in Peabody.
