October 19, 1931 – May 28, 2025
Eve Graff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the Katzman Family Center for Living, surrounded by family. She was 93.
Born Eva Faith Silverman in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on October 19, 1931, Eve grew up in a home she loved, surrounded by her three older sisters and her younger brother. In 1949, she met the love of her life, Melvin Graff, and they married a year later. Together, they made their home in Peabody, where they raised three sons—Stuart, Howard, and Mitchell—and built a life full of love, laughter, and community.
Eve worked alongside Melvin at his company, Graff Textile, before continuing her career as a dedicated bookkeeper. She had a sharp mind and a generous spirit, always quick with a kind word or a thoughtful gesture.
Eve and Mel shared a long, joyful life together. They loved hosting friends, traveling, enjoying musicals, and spending time with family. Eve had a special gift for bringing people together; her warmth, wit, and easy charm drew others to her and made everyone feel welcome and at ease.
She is predeceased by her husband, Melvin, sisters Hilda, Hope, and Myrtle, and brother Mark. Eve leaves behind her three sons and their families: Stuart, his wife Jackie (Halfon), and their son, Jason, of Danvers MA; Howard, his wife Rose (Baker), and their twin children Samuel and Shelley of Hampton, NH; and Mitchell, of Somerville, MA, as well as extended relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
A private memorial was held at the Pride of Lynn cemetery in Lynn, Massachusetts.
