

PEABODY – George Feinstein, 93, of Peabody, entered into rest, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at McLean Hospital, Belmont. George was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette (Cohen) Feinstein with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Boston, George was the son of the late Jacob and Sarah Feinstein; the devoted father of Barry A. Feinstein, Esq. of Peabody and the late Susan G. Feinstein; the dear brother of Evelyn Convicer of Peabody and Charlotte Figueiredo, of South Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
George served in the Army during WWII and in combat in Germany’s Rhineland, including in the Battle of the Elbe. He owned and operated Maynard Meat Market for over 40 years until his retirement in 1998. After his retirement, he worked in as a bookkeeper in The Law offices of Barry Feinstein and Affiliates, P.C. in Peabody for several years. He was a member of the Masonic Jordan Lodge in Peabody and the Aleppo Shriners in Wilmington. George was a generous and significant contributor to multiple charities.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 18th at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, (781) 581-2300 followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon.
