

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Baker, who left this world on May 30, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 1, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, Gloria was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and partner who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her journey of life spanned over eight decades, during which she made indelible memories for her family and friends.
She was the cherished daughter of Jacob and Ruth Weiner, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffrey Baker, and her brother, Lester Weiner. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Gloria is survived by her loving son, Gregg Baker, and daughter-in-law, Laura, of Stoughton, Massachusetts; her devoted daughter, Andrea Baker, of Peabody, Massachusetts; She also embraced her role as a mother-in-law to Paula Baker of Wilmington. She was a proud grandmother to her cherished grandson, Andrew Baker, and granddaughters, Ruthie Baker, Marissa Baker, and Nicole Baker, who brought immense joy to her life.
In June 1963, Gloria married Bruce Baker, and they shared 29 years of marriage and raised their family. After their separation, she found happiness and companionship with her longtime partner, Joel Naimon.
Gloria was an accomplished woman with a keen mind and a warm spirit. She attended Fisher Junior College and was employed for many years as a medical secretary and receptionist, where her kindness and professionalism endeared her to both colleagues and patients.
She was known for her gentle demeanor, and it was said of her that she was "kind, loving, and never had a bad word to say about anyone." Gloria had a range of hobbies and interests that brought her joy, including watching movies, taking trips to Ogunquit, and, most importantly, spending time with her children and grandchildren. These moments were the highlight of her life and the source of her greatest happiness.
Gloria is also survived by her loving sisters-in-law, Susan Dobriner, Sandra Finer, and Noreen Izzo, along with her many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery in Peabody. All who knew and loved Gloria are invited to join in celebrating her remarkable life.
