Irving Novick passed peacefully at home on January 7. Irving was born June 9, 1929, to Benjamin and Sarah Novick of Salem, MA, the youngest of four siblings. He graduated from Tufts University, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1951 and received a Bachelor of Laws from NYU in 1954. He worked for Senator Hubert Humphrey, served in the military in Japan and worked at the Proskauer law firm before becoming an in-house labor lawyer at ABC Network in Manhattan and Los Angeles until retirement. He resided in Beverly Hills at the time of his death. He is survived by his sister Pauline Novick Flaxer of Peabody, MA and three generations of extended loving family members.
A funeral service for Irving will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970, with interment to follow at the Sons of Jacob Cemetery, 16 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA 01923.
