Irwin was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Grace Cohen, and his sister, Shellie Nee. Known for his kind heart and deep love for his family, Irwin brought warmth and joy to those who knew him.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Irwin had a lifelong devotion to the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins.
Irwin’s memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his legacy of kindness and love bring comfort to those who mourn his passing. He was a loving brother of Scot Cohen and his wife Laurie and Jackie Newman and her husband Brad. He was a beloved uncle of Erica, Andrea, Alexandra, Christopher, Zoe and Schuyler. He grew up in Winthrop, MA and graduated from Winthrop High School where he was affectionally known by his friends as “Wiggy”.
A service for Irwin will be held on June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Stanetsky Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA. Burial services will be at Sharon Memorial Park at 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA at 12:45pm.
