Jack H. Levin

LEVIN, Jack H., of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Swampscott and Marblehead, entered into rest on December 11, 2017. Born in Winthrop, son of the late Nathan and Ruth (Sandler) Levin and brother of the late Dr. Melvin Levin, Eleanor Freundlich and Haskell Levin. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Boston University. He settled in Swampscott with Marjorie (Barton) Levin, with whom he enjoyed 56 years of marriage, and also cherished his retirement years in Boca Raton, FL and Sheffield, MA.

Jack was extremely creative, entrepreneurial and skilled in the areas of real estate development and sales management in the early days of the semi-conductor industry. He left a unique mark on the North Shore of Massachusetts in several noteworthy buildings, including the structures that he had built at 51 Atlantic Avenue and Oliver’s Pond, both in Marblehead. He was also actively engaged in his community, serving as longtime chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals in both Marblehead and Swampscott. He and his wife are also active members of Temple Emanu-El of Marblehead.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Marjorie; devoted sons, William Levin of Charlestown, MA and Andrew Levin and his wife Julie of New York, NY; grandchildren Gregory Levin and Parker Levin of New York, NY; daughter-in-law Beth Levin Kupsov, her husband Michael and their daughter Sydney of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was predeceased by his sons, Gary Levin and Peter Levin.

Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St, Salem on Friday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m., with interment immediately following at New Tifereth Israel of Everett Memorial Park, 232 Fuller St, Everett. Memorial observances at Village at Vinnin Square Recreation Facility, 200 Loring Hills Ave, Salem, MA following services until 7:30pm.
