Jane R. Levine

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 16, 1954, Jane was the daughter of the late Stewart and Shirley (Budgar) Kent. Her early years were marked by a dedication to learning, graduating from Oceanside High School in 1971. She pursued higher education at SUNY Buffalo and SUNY Binghamton, earning her degree in 1976, and subsequently obtained her Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law in 1981.

On May 18, 1975, Jane married the love of her life, Barry R. Levine. Their union was a partnership rooted in mutual admiration and shared passions, and they recently celebrated over five decades of love and companionship.

Jane’s refined palate and cultural sensibilities found expression in her love of travel, theater, literature, art, cuisine, and fine wine. These passions she shared with Barry, embarking on numerous journeys and cultural pursuits that enriched their lives and deepened their bond.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Barry R. Levine; her brother, Arthur Kent; her brother-in-law Ronald Levine; nieces, nephews; and a close circle of lifelong friends who cherished her wit, kindness, and grace; and her much loved Bernadoodle, Mozzie. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and two devoted dogs—Shandu and Pandora—whose companionship brought her great joy.

A celebration of her life will be held at a future date, to be announced at the family's convenience.
