IN THE CARE OF
Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel
Jordan Bearak, 23, of Needham, MA.
Born at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Jordan grew up in Needham. He attended Gan Yeladim, Solomon Schechter Day School, Pollard Middle School, Needham High School, and Waldorf High School in Belmont, MA. He was an active part of the Jewish community at Temple Aliyah in Needham, where he attended youth services and was active in USY.
Jordan loved basketball, technology, and above all else, music. He was a talented musician, learning the guitar at 15, and starting voice lessons shortly after. He especially loved the music of Ed Sheeran, with whom he was often compared. He loved performing at open mics, and eventually went on to performing gigs at restaurants and bars. He loved creating his own music, and with the help of his music friends, went on to create several finished songs under his music name Jordan Brooks.
Jordan leaves his parents Adena Cohen-Bearak and Arnie Bearak, his grandmothers Esther Brown and Joan Cohen, his uncle Bill Cohen, his cousins Jonah, Ari, and Cayla Cohen, and many other loving relatives. He had a special friendship with Aaron Marsh and the entire Marsh family.
Jordan had a gentle soul and struggled with mental health issues for many years. In spite of our best efforts, he was not able to overcome these struggles.
A funeral service for Jordan will be held on Friday, January 20, 2022 at 10:00AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970.Interment will be held privately at Maple Hill Cemetery in Peabody.
