Joseph Yonis

He was the dear son of the late Rachamim and Sophie Yonis. He was the husband of the late Joyce (Wiseman) Yonis. They shared 58 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Yonis, brothers, Joshua, Samuel, Ralph, and Jack Yonis; and his sister, Sara Yonis.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Steven Yonis of Boca Raton, FL, Daughter Susan Wilens and Son in law Gary Wilens of Boca Raton, FL and his Sister Doris Hershoff of Peabody, Ma.

Joseph was also the Cherished grandfather to David Yonis of Flower Mound, TX, Caitlin Lewis of Colleyville, TX, and Josh Yonis of Lewisville, TX. and Great Grandfather to Riley Yonis and McKenna Yonis of Flower Mound, TX, Norah and James Lewis of Colleyville TX and Theo Yonis of Lewisville, TX.

Joseph Yonis grew up in Peabody Massachusetts and graduated from Peabody High school in 1950.

He worked 34 years (from 1961-1995) for Avnet as an Account Executive

Joseph was a member of the United States Airforce a member of the Congregation Tifereth Israel as well as a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 220 of Peabody.

Josephs funeral service will be held on Thursday September 15, 2022 at 1:00pm in Stanetsky Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA. Burial with military honors will be in Sons of Jacob Cemetery, Danvers, MA. Shiva will be observed following services at the home of Joshua and Cecilia Rowen.
