

Karen Yoffa, a beloved resident of Marblehead for 36 years, passed away peacefully in early December 2025. She leaves behind a legacy defined by compassion, vibrant spirit, and the enduring love of a community deeply touched by her kindness.
Born and raised in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, Karen was known from an early age for her keen intellect and naturally gentle nature. These gifts guided her into a fulfilling career as a Nurse Anesthetist—a calling she pursued with unwavering dedication. Through her work, she brought comfort and calm to patients during their most vulnerable moments, earning the respect and gratitude of all who were in her care.
An avid outdoorswoman, Karen truly lived life in motion. Whether carving elegant turns through fresh snow or catching the wind while sailing, she embraced every adventure with boundless enthusiasm. It was this love for the water that brought her to meet her husband, Jerry, while sailing on the Charles River—beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned four decades.
In Marblehead, Karen became an integral part of the local community. A passionate pickleball player, she was admired not only for her competitive spirit but for the warmth, humor, and joy she brought to every game. To her many friends, she was a steady source of light—her conversations, often ending with words of love and encouragement.
Karen was the devoted wife of Jerry Yoffa and the proud, loving mother of Michael. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her family, her friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable career and life.
A memorial service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
