Laura Betterman Levine

Laura Betterman Levine – of Salem, entered into rest on November 13, 2021 at the age of 89, after a long, meaningful and well lived life she passed after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late William Betterman and the late Saul Levine. Devoted mother of Gail Feinman and Steven and his wife Pichanda. Cherished grandmother of Rachel and Phanith. The loving sister of Phillip and his wife Leatrice, Florence and her husband Arthur, sister-in-law of Rhoda and her husband Paul and Stanley and his wife Leslie. Dear daughter of the late Ralph and Goldie Goldstein.

She grew up in Everett, graduated from Everett High School, and raised her family in Marblehead. She was a dedicated and active member of many different communities: Temple Sinai, Sisterhood, Marblehead, Salem and Boca Raton. She cherished her time spent with family and friends and had relationships with people over many decades. She developed special relationships with everyone she came in contact with. Her love of her husband drew her into joining his avocation of caring for the elderly through their work as responsible and compassionate caretakers. She broadened her education and exposure to life through her avid reading and love of books and studies.

A funeral service for Laura will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 10:00AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970 with interment at Temple Sinai Cemetery, 16 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA 01923. Vaccination will be required.
