

Lissa Fine of Peabody MA passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 92. Lissa was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Fine, to whom she was married for 56 years. She was the mother of Gerald Fine and his wife Victoria LeFevre of Brookline MA and of Laura Warren and her husband John Warren of North Reading MA. She is survived by four grandchildren, Hannah Leonard, Leah Fine, Jack Warren and Sophie Warren, and by great-grandchildren Morgan Leonard and James Leonard. She was the aunt of Ellen Arthur, Stephan Feder and Gary Feder.
Lissa grew up in Brooklyn, New York and received an undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College and a master’s in education from SUNY Albany. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in the New York City schools and spent most of her professional life as a reading specialist in the North Colonie NY school district. After retiring from teaching, Lissa was a long-time elected member of the North Colonie School Board.
In her spare time, Lissa was a prodigious cook and baker, an avid reader and a doting and attentive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After retirement, she and Leonard were enthusiastic travelers. She was extremely outgoing and known within her family as a world-champion talker who would converse with almost anyone.
Leonard and Lissa were residents of Loudonville, NY for over 50 years before moving to Peabody MA to be closer to family.
Services will be held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date.
