

Marvin L. Schloss, age 82, died on Wednesday after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Chelsea, he graduated from Chelsea High School and was an active member of the Reunion Committee. He had resided in Swampscott for some 30 years and formerly resided in Marblehead for some 15 years. He was the founder and owner of Karmin Door Co., of the North Shore. He served with the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Order and a former member of Temple Israel now Cong. Shirat Hayam of Swampscott. Beloved husband of Honey (Kendell) Schloss. Dear son of the late Nathan and Bertha Schloss. Devoted father of Karla Pressman and Jim Firestone of Swampscott, Mindy and Joel Reichman of Marblehead. Loving brother of the late Allan Schloss. Cherished grandfather of Jayme and Lindsey Reichman, Matthew and Skyler Pressman. Dear brother-in-law of Arlene and Mike Goodstein, Harriet and George Kessler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem-Swampscott line on Friday, Oct. 26 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Section of Cong. Shirat Hayam, Lowell St., Peabody. Memorial Observance following the interment and Saturday 6-9p.m. at the home of Karla Pressman.
