Mollie M. (Silverman) Perlow

Mollie Mary (Silverman) Perlow, of Salem, formerly Swampscott, entered into rest peacefully on Monday afternoon, March 16, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born in Boston to the late Dr. Harry and Sayra (Levine) Silverman. Beloved wife of the late Sidney H. Perlow. Devoted mother of Kenneth Perlow and his partner Ilise Ratner of Marblehead, the late Alan K. Perlow, Julie Perlow Richmond and her husband Larry of Needham and Aaron Perlow and his wife Julie of Middleton. Cherished Bobbie of Sam and his wife Molly, Matt and his wife Grace and their mother Sheryl, Shane, Zack, Lance, Danny and Charlie. Adored great Bobbie of Lilah, Harper and Logan. Loving sister of Dr. William Silverman and his wife Claudia of FL. Dear sister-in-law of Carolyn Perlow of Marblehead. She was also the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews and a devoted friend to all who knew her.

Mollie was a graduate of Boston University where she earned her degree in teaching. She worked as a school teacher for many years at the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Revere. She loved listening to music, attending her grandchildren’s activities including sporting events, concerts and plays. She had a lifelong passion for the color purple and a great sense of humor until the very end.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Hebrew Senior Life at Newbridge on the Charles in Dedham for the exceptional care they provided her for the last three and half years.

Her funeral service will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Poali Zedek Cemetery, 232 Fuller Street, Everett. Memorial observance will be held following the services at the home of Aaron and Julie Perlow on Wednesday until 9 PM and then continuing at the home of her daughter Julie Perlow Richmond and Larry on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Hebrew Senior Life at Newbridge on the Charles, 7000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham, MA 02026 or Massachusetts Eye and Ear Department of Oncology in honor of Dr. Daniel Deschler, 243 Charles Street, Boston, MA 02114.
