Nancy Ossoff Winograd

Nancy Ossoff Winograd, formerly of Lexington, MA and York, ME entered into rest on June 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Elliot Winograd. Devoted mother of Amy (& the late Joshua) Friedman and Gary Winograd (& Sabrina Smarse). Cherished grandmother of Lauren Friedman, Jordan Friedman and Aliyah Winograd. The loving sister of Ashley Oliver. Dear daughter of the late Harry and Laura Ossoff.

Nancy grew up in Durham, NH after living in Peabody, MA for the first seven years of her life. She graduated from Oyster River High School, and raised her family in Lexington, MA. As a breast cancer survivor, she worked tirelessly for breast cancer research and treatment organizations. She was also a founder of one of the first Hospices in Massachusetts. She was a dedicated member of Temple Isaiah in Lexington, MA.

Nancy loved the movies, music, and playing mahjong and cards with her many friends. She was famous for her baking skills, especially her brownies and apple pie.

Nancy cherished her time spent with friends and family, especially her three granddaughters. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 11:00AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970 with interment to follow at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lake Shore Road, Lynn, MA 01904.

The family will be receiving mourners at the home of Amy Winograd Friedman on Sunday afternoon June 23rd following the burial, and June 24th and 25th from 2pm to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to: NH Breast Cancer Coalition, Alzheimer’s Association - Maine Chapter, or the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
