Peter S. Miller passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 12, 1947, in Fall River, MA, he spent his formative years in Tiverton, R.I., and later lived in Boca Raton, FL, and Peabody, MA. He was the devoted son of the late Ethel Pokross Miller and Louis Miller.
Peter graduated from Wagner College in New York and remained an avid reader throughout his life, often recommending books to family and friends, enjoying word games, and engaging in thoughtful conversations about current events and politics. He embodied the Jewish value of Gemilut Chasadim—acts of loving kindness—throughout his life. Whether caring for his parents in their later years or checking in on neighbors and friends, Peter’s life was one of quiet generosity and compassion. He will be remembered for his thoughtful cards commemorating birthdays and special occasions, as well as the many kindnesses he extended to others.
Peter leaves behind his beloved sister, Diane Knopf; a niece, Elyse Propis, and her husband, Sam; a grandnephew, Emmett; many cousins; and friends from the communities he called home.
