

Proud to be born in Boston, he was a son of the late Henry and Anita (Low) Kalis.
Mr. Kalis proudly served our country in the Navy during World War II and again answered the call to serve in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He was a well decorated combat veteran.
Mr. Kalis graduated with his Juris Doctor and practiced law in Massachusetts for over 50 years. He was renowned as a prominent trial attorney and known by his peers as a Lawyer’s Lawyer.
He was a member the Massachusetts Bar Association as well as a founding member of the Massapoag Sportsman’s Club in Sharon, MA
He loved to play golf and tennis as well as skiing. He was also fond sailing and fishing. He loved music and reveled in singing and ballroom dancing. Bob grew the biggest and best patio tomatoes around. He also loved to laugh and fancied telling joke after joke.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Lawrence (Nancy) Kalis, Michael (Naomi) Kalis, Laurie (Larry) Lapidus, his beloved stepsons Glenn (Cindy) Canner and Gary (Lu) Canner. He was also adored by his grandchildren Benjamin, Eric, Sarah, Daniel, Justin ,David, Blair and Allen and his great granddaughter Alison. Bob is also survived by his dear sisters, Florence Gans of Newton and Dorothy Baker of Danvers.
At his request, Bob’s funeral services and burial will be private.
