OBITUARY

Ronald S. Tanzer

August 3, 1946December 29, 2019

Ronald Tanzer – of Peabody, entered into rest on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Piecewicz) Tanzer with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Devoted father of David Tanzer and his wife Deb, Debra Tanzer and Darlene Tanzer. Cherished grandfather of Sophia, Joshua and Justice Tanzer. The loving brother of Harvey Tanzer and Rachel Tanzer. Dear son of the late Murray and Madeline (Hershoff) Tanzer.

Ronnie grew up in Peabody, graduated from Peabody High School, and raised his family in Peabody. He owned and operated ABC Seamless Siding for ten years. He was a dedicated member of Congregation Sons of Israel. He volunteered for many years at B’nai Brith. He loved his dogs Lucky and Scooter and his grand dog Bentley. Ronnie cherished his time spent with family, friends, and respected colleagues & clients. A funeral service for Ronnie will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 12:00PM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 98 Canterbury Drive, Peabody, MA 01960.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Congregation Sons of Israel, Park Street, Peabody, MA 01960.

Dear Kathy and Family, I was so sorry to hear of Ronnie’s passing. I have so many fond memories of growing up next door to Ron. He was always a good guy and good friend. I will miss seeing him at family gatherings, he was always so warm and friendly, always happy to see everyone. He will be missed dearly and he will never be forgotten.

Those wonderful memories will warm our hearts forever .... I will always remember Ronnie’s warm greeting whenever he saw me. Rather than a simple hello Ronnie truly showed how much he cared with a warm hug and kiss on the cheek. I will miss those greetings very much.
