

She was the devoted mother of Paul Elkind, Rob Elkind and his wife Norma, and Eric Elkind, and the cherished grandmother of Lily, Maya, Heather, and Nyla Elkind. Sally was the loving sister of the late Harold Malinsky and Philip Malinsky, and the dear daughter of the late Irving and Lillian Malinsky.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Sally graduated from the University of Arizona before raising her family in Rochester, New York, and Lexington, Massachusetts. Throughout her career, Sally was a dedicated English teacher, piano instructor, and realtor.
Sally’s effervescent personality, generosity, and colorful sense of style allowed her to forge lasting friendships wherever she went. From China to Alaska to Egypt and beyond, she was known for her warmth, kindness, and captivating presence. She enjoyed playing the piano, opera, classical music, reading, and tennis.
Above all, Sally cherished her time with family, friends, and respected colleagues and clients. She was always there for her sons and granddaughters, ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
A funeral service for Sally Elkind will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at Stanetsky- Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970 with inurnment Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
