I got to know Shirley over the past number of years when visiting my parents, Graham (now deceased) and Margaret Nelson, at Brooksby. Shirley was a joyous shining light--witty but dignified, playful but with depth. She told wonderful stories and was an excellent listener as well, and after only one or two meetings I felt like she had known me for years.

I always tried to say hello or have a meal with Marvin and Shirley when I was in town; Shirley's pleasure at life was so infectious, and I will carry that spirit with me moving forward.

My best wishes to Marvin, their daughter and her family, and everyone in Shirley's life.

Warmly,

Dave Nelson

Mr Sterman, Rachel & David, so many fond memories of your Mother and the good times at your home! How your Mother tolerated all of us roller skating in the basement is amazing!

Please accept my deepest condolences!

Sincerely,

Paul McKeon
