Sumner “The TV Man” Edward Israelson. Age 84. Of Largo, FL and formerly of Peabody, MA. Died peacefully in his home after a period of failing health on March 4, 2018. Beloved husband of Jean (Lee) and former husband of June (Kaye) Israelson. Adored father of Richard Israelson and his wife, Dina of Lynnfield, MA, Jodi Haskell and her husband, Kirk of Stratham, NH, Lori Salema and her husband, Antonio of Stratham, NH, and step-daughter, Susan Bowes of Jacksonville, FL. Son of the late Lawrence and Nettie Israelson. Brother of Arthur Israelson as well as the late Sylvia Sussman and the late Louis Israelson. Sumner cherished all of his grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Scott and Rebecca Haskell, Samantha Israelson, Durval, Shawn, Krystal, and Isaac Salema as well as all of his great-grandchildren. He was the much-loved uncle of many nieces and nephews and favorite all around person to scores of friends. Sumner was the proud owner for decades of Sumner’s TV Service in Peabody, MA. Sumner proudly served 20 years in the US Army National Guard and was a leader and member of the Knights of Pythias and Bnai Brith for many years.
A Funeral Service will be held in Stanetsky-Hyamnson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St. Salem, MA on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 11am. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA.
