Albert was a U.S. Navy veteran in the Korean War.
Albert is survived by his wife, Violet of 57 years; daughter Leslie (Mike) ;son Mike; grandchildren Paul and Benjamin; one great grandchild Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
Albert was a lifelong Oregon resident. He worked for NW Natural Gas for 31 years.
Al loved sports. He played basketball and baseball in high school. He was in the last graduating class of Aumsville High School.
He enjoyed fishing. He never missed a season of deer or elk hunting. In the last couple of years Albert and his son Mike hiked and camped at Haystack Reservoir and Camp Sherman. He was a fan of the Portland Trailblazers and Seattle Mariners.
His retirement years were spent traveling with his wife Vi all around the U.S. and Canada. At home, Al kept busy with yard work and the vegetable garden. He loved the outdoors.
Service will be held at Fruitland Community Church Friday, June 3rd at 2pm.
