

Born in Pea Ridge, Arkansas Albert was one of 14 brothers and sisters born to Jefferson and Clara Williams. Graduating from Salem High in 1948 and then marrying the love of his life Frieda on August 1st of that year. He and Frieda went on to have three children, 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Albert worked for the Salem Public School District for 37 ½ years before retiring in 1987. He was a 3rd degree Freemason Life Member of the Vista Lodge #215 AF and AM. He was also a Lifetime 32nd degree Mason with the Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge. He was also a Naval Reservist.
Albert was a member of the Oregon Thoroughbred Horse Breeders Association for 20 years and during that time he was honored 3 times with the award of Breeder of the Year.
He was a member of the Oregon Mounted Posse and while a member he was Pistol Team State Champ 9 out of 10 years.
Albert loved horse racing, buying and selling cattle and was a lifelong stockman.
Albert is preceded in death by his sweet Frieda, his parents and several siblings. He is survived by Son Mark Williams, Daughters Jan Major-Bemus and Peggy Watson, Sister Beatrice Sherman, Twin Brother Alferd Williams, Sisters Martha Burrier and Virginia Bronson, Brothers Frank Williams and LeRoy Williams. 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
A Private Graveside Service for Albert will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 10:00pm at Spring Valley Cemetery followed by a Public Memorial Service will be held at Fruitland Community Church at 1:00pm.
