Betty Jean (Bareinger) Ellison passed peacefully from this earth on June 5, 2023 at home in Keizer Oregon. She will be interred at Mt. Union Cemetery, Benton County Oregon sometime this summer. She lived her early life there and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1946. She had a horse named “Chili” and worked at a dude ranch at that time. She met her husband to be “Bob” (of Portland) on Friday the 13th whilst they were students at Oregon State University in 1948. A year later they were married. They had 2 children Catherine & Steven. Betty had a full life and enjoyed world travel, camping, hiking, horseback riding, gardening, dancing, genealogy studies and family events. She was a member of K/SAS (Keizer/Salem Seniors), the Sons & Daughters of Oregon Pioneers, and of Jason Lee Methodist Church. She would most like to be remembered for her peanut brittle and her rhubarb pie!!
