SALEM - Charles was born in Valentine, Neb. on December 4, 1951. Chuck graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and went on to become the Owner/ Operator of First Call Home Health. On August 19, 1973 in Hastings, Neb., Chuck married his wife, Sheryl Mullin. He has 3 children, Jacob Mullin, Heather Mullin, and Samuel Mullin; and 2 grandchildren, Naomi Grace and Isabella Rose. Chuck wanted to be remembered for his faith in Jesus Christ, his integrity in the workplace, and running an organization with the best ethics possible. The fondest memory of Chuck is his devotion to his wife and children. He wanted to protect them and provide financially for his family; he did both well until he died. Chuck liked to golf, fish, read the Bible, hang out with his children, liked planning the future for his business, very much a visionary person. Words that defined Chuck's life were passion, integrity, drive, seeker of truth, sincere, hard working, and intellectual. Chuck was special because he wanted to grow and mature personally to be a better person for himself and his family. Chuck made a difference in peoples lives because he lived what he believed. A recent anniversary note from his oldest son sums up what Chuck's life was about: "Dear Mom and Dad, Just wanted to wish you a happy anniversary. Thanks for all your support of my marriage, all the babysitting, free counseling, prayers and your faith in me and Wendy. Without the faith in God that you guys had, my life would have been a lot harder. I love you guys. - Jake" A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen, 1350 Commercial St SE, Salem, Oregon 97302.
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faithdevelops perseverance." - James 1:1
